| "Children's Voices" at the Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival |

One of local children's most anticipated events during summer has got to be the Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival. As an act of sponsorship in 2004 Mayflower has specially printed 50,000 copies of limited postcards with 6 different themes to encourage children to write out their thoughts on the postcards and mail them to the person they wish to express them to. This was intended for children to express their heartfelt wishes and to remind parents who are always occupied with work to spend a little more time and attention to listen to what their children have to say. Since the "Children's Voices" activity will help to improve relationships between children and their parents, it was an ideal activity for Mayflower to promote its ideals of "bringing more warmth to families". YFY hopes that the heart-warming words written on these postcards will make parents spend more time in creating a caring and warm environment for their children to grow up in. At the event, Mayflower hosted a limited quantity charity fund raiser by offering its postcard series, special stamps for the festival along with Mayflower's personal napkin pack. All the money raised was donated to the Unitedway Organization in order to help children in need. Mayflower has always taken pride in being everyone's closest friend by keeping them company at all times. It is advocating the notion of respecting children's rights, including the right to express their opinions. By creating good interaction between children and parents, a harmonious and appropriate relationship can be built naturally. Mayflower has taken this goal to be its responsibility and its mission. |
