We have but one earth. Being involved in the papermaking industry, the task of ensuring "environmental protection" and "sustainable practices" is just like an innate duty to YFY. The promotion of concepts of cultural education and cherishing our limited resources in particular is the foremost mission of every single employee at YFY. In order to cultivate children's reading habits and to reinforce the concept of valuing paper resources for reuse, YFY began the "Christmas of books: donation of ten thousand books" activity in 2004. The collected books are given to schools in remote areas. The promotion of the book donation activity bears significance: it is not only an actual act of caring for our land to ensure that our cultural traditions can be passed down to the next generation, but it is also YFY's effort in accomplishing its corporate mission of facilitating cultural heritage and advocating the importance of children's cultural cultivation to the general public so that children will regain the habit of reading. In addition, it is a further reinforcement of the concepts of cherishing limited resources and reusing available resources. YFY hopes that its annual "Christmas of books" will be an example of this kind of activity for other corporations to follow suit and to invest more corporate resources to care for our society. Numerous YFY employees have also responded positively and actively regarding this event, since it offers children living in remote areas a chance to enjoy a good book and indirectly closes the cultural gap between the cities and rural towns.
