Yuen Foong Yu Paper Mfg. Co., Ltd was established in 1950, marking the beginning of YFY’s evolution into the multi-industry group it is today.
YFY is Taiwan’s first and largest manufacturer of fine paper and board. In 1980, the company established the first research center for paper production technologies in Taiwan. It is also the first paper manufacturer in Taiwan to receive the Green Mark eco-label and export a whole paper manufacturing plant to Southeast Asia. In 2012, Chung Hwa Pulp Corp. merged with the paper and cardboard department of YFY to integrate their lumber, pulp, and paper manufacturing businesses into a complete industrial chain, successfully improving overall operating efficiency and turning YFY into one of the top 50 paper manufacturers in the world. The company will continue to lift production capacity and technological innovation in the future as it advances toward the high-tech paper industry.
