In response to the demand for paper and paperboard coating in paper making, YFY adopted the technology from Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals in 1979 to produce a synthetic latex marketed as POLYLAC. Through improvement in manufacturing processes and research development, the product has been applied widely to the textile, construction, and wood processing industries. In 2005, the company launched nitrile-butadiene rubber latex (NBRL). It features excellent chemical stability and film-forming abilities, does not contain protein, and is ideal for the processing of disposable NBR gloves. Due to the fact it is the leading supplier of materials for special purposes in Taiwan, YFY will be focusing on application in environmental protection and the medical biotechnology fields in order to increase brand value.
